HETEROPOLYMERS

Here are some links:  the recent large review article published in Reviews of Modern Physics on heteropolymers is available as a PDF file.  Some more recent works are available as preprints on self-averaging and on sequence correlations.

Still not much is here on this page, things will be added soon, but some beautiful pictures are availbale thanks to Vijay Pande.

This is an interesting thing drawn here.  For one, it is a globular lattice heteropolymer, and its primary structure (the sequence in which different colors appear along the chain) is designed in an intelligent way.  At the same time, the native structure shown here has a knot (please, excercise your spatial imagination!).  Thus, the sequence shown here is smart enough to provide folding into the knotted conformation.
