QuarkNet Particle Physics Workshop

QuarkNet participant, Jim Hauge - Physics teacher at Anoka High School enjoys a lecture session.

QuarkNet at the University of Minnesota offers a five day workshop for high school physics and physical science teachers. Participants receive:

  • hands-on experiences in particle physics educational activities
  • up to a $600 stipend
  • the potential for a $300 mini-grant to help pay for curriculum supplies
  • current information on particle physics research
  • presentations by particle physicists
  • visits to world class particle physics research laboratories
  • 35 hours of continuing education credits
  • the option of graduate credits at a reduced cost.
