Peloso receives McKnight Fellowship

Professor Marco Peloso of the School of Physics and Astronomy has received the McKnight Presidential Fellow Award. The Fellowship is offered to the most promising faculty at critical stages in their careers. More »

Grad program now accepting applications

Applications for the Physics graduate program are now being accepted for the 2008 school year. Apply online now. The deadline for application to the program is January 15, 2008. To be considered for a fellowship, it is recommended that you apply by December 15, 2007. More »

Physics Open House November 15

The School of Physics and Astronomy will hold an Open House on Thursday, November 15th. Events will include lab tours, a pizza lunch and a Physics Force show. More »

Physics Force at Homecoming

Physics Force will perform at the the Homecoming celebration this week-end. The physics demo troupe will do an hour-long show at Coffman Memorial Union, Mississippi Room, 3rd Floor at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, November 3rd. More »

Colloquium to mark Peterson, Ruddick retirement

A colloquium honoring the careers of high energy experimental physicists, Professors Earl Peterson and Keith Ruddick, will be held on Wednesday, November 14. The colloquium title is "From the pre-quark era to neutrino oscillations: experimental high energy physics at Minnesota." More »

Kadanoff to deliver Misel Lecture

The Second Annual Edyth and Irving Misel Family Lecture series will take place on Thursday, October 4th at 4:45 p.m in in Tate Lab of Physics, Room 150. Leo P.
